Marlin in the mix

In addition to the kingfish, dolphin and blackfin tuna we have been catching this summer, we released a white marlin taken on a trolled ballyhoo about 14 miles off Palm Beach on Father's Day.

Summer snapper

A good option during the heat of the summer is fishing near the bottom for yellowtail and mutton snapper. Some nice muttons have been taken recently!

Get ready to run!

On calm summer days, we might run 10 miles or more offshore to find the warmest blue water along the western edge of the Gulf Stream. This is where dolphinfish (and sometimes marlin) hunt for food around floating debris and Sargassum mats.
